1. The following list consists of SSDCA members, aside from
Tina and Lisa Barber, who have continuously been actively involved, via
holding club office, serving on club-sanctioned committees or holding a
chapter position for a period of three or more years, thus making a
great impact for the benefit of the Shiloh Shepherd™, and have "made it"
past the unpredictable "7 year itch" time period!
Please note; the following names are
listed as per their length of service (starting date with the SSDCA) to
this organization.
1. Anita DePola (1991)
2. Barbara and Stephen Betcher (1991)
3. Stu Tarlowe (1991)
4. Pat and Dale Urso (1992)
5. William Pellicane (1993)
6. Pamela McCloskey Moody (1994)
7. Barb and Dave Cullen (1996)
8. Karen Ursel (1997)
9. Pam Dymond-Weed (1998)
10. Dianne Lacoy (1998)
11. Corinne Filipski (1999)

13. Sheila Masse (2000)
14. Jessica Strauss (2000)
15. Wanda Wilson (2000)
16. Debbie Knatz (2001)
I feel that these leaders deserve to receive
recognition for the considerable impact that they have made toward the
future welfare of this breed, its parent club, and all of its members.
2. The following list consists of members that have met the same
requirements as those listed above and have been club members for 5 years
or longer. They have excelled at maintaining a strong loyalty to the ISSR and SSDCA while forging closer toward the goal of reaching and
surpassing the inevitable "7 year itch" line!
17. Olga Twombly (2002)
18. Michelle Sparks (2002)
19. Laura Kathryn (2002)
20. Dee Bunker (2003)

3.
The following list of names
consists of our "Newbies" that have been SSDCA members for
over 3 years, and are presently holding club or chapter positions or
serving on a club-sanctioned committee, and have done so for a
period of 2 years or more. These dedicated members may soon be
counted among our future leaders!! They have been running a good
race and are getting close to passing their first half way (3.5
year) marker!!
25. Willie Lass (2003)
26. Sue Olson (2004)
27. Michael Kerr (2004)
28. Darick and Sue Gill (2005)
29. Michelle W. Johnson (2005)
All of these dedicated leaders have made great
strides toward making our organization strong, yet have never betrayed the
breed!
Will they finish the race, like those before them did? Or will they fall
by the wayside? Let's all pray that none of them will ever have to
be added to the list of traitors that have had a wonderful
opportunity to make a positive impact for our beloved breed, but have
nevertheless betrayed all of us! For those of you that may have
forgotten their names, they are all listed on our web pages in various
articles, but most of them can be found in
SSDCA Officers: Where are They Now?

Criteria
Used For Calculations
Group 1: has to have served
continuously in a club/chapter position or served on a club-sanctioned
committee for a period of 3 years or longer and been a member for 7
or more years.
Group 2 has to have served continuously in a club/chapter position
or served on a club-sanctioned committee for a period of over 2 years and
been a member for a period longer than 5 years.
Group 3 has to have served continuously in a club/chapter position or
served on a club-sanctioned committee for two years or longer and
been a club member for over 3 years (since 2005). |
We
would also like to thank the many other SSDCA members that have made
significant contributions to our breed's overall improvement, yet have
never served our membership in an official capacity, thus not meeting the
criteria requirements for being added to the names listed above.
However, without their continued loyal support, our breed would not have
been enriched as it has been!
The names on this page will be updated on a
regular basis as more of our members join in to meet the challenge that
these members have embraced!

On a
Personal Note (May 2004)
Over the past
decade I have had plenty of opportunities to observe the various
political events exploding within our organization; and the members'
reactions to each. Due to these observations, I have come to the
conclusion that there is something to the "7 year cycle" (itch).
Please take
the time to check out this
web page.
I feel that
you may find it quite interesting!
As far as my
own observations are concerned, I have found that each member seems
to have a total of three milestones that must be conquered.
1. When
they become involved with the club/dogs/etc. they can appear to be
extremely dedicated, full of excitement! Will they end up becoming
just a "flash in the pan" or will they make it past the first 3.5
year marker?
2. Those that
manage to overcome the obstacles that they were presented with often
seem stronger for it! While others appear to have been sufficiently
scared, and not able to deal with additional adversity. Often these
people will start to "sour" and complain. Eventually some will just
"fizzle out" while others may actually turn on their friends with a
vengeance. Most of the people that are on my "Traitor" list have
come from this group! They have never made it to the 5 year marker
and they never will!
3. This
group has managed to overcome the obstacles that have been tossed in
their path because they are the dedicated few that are determined to
finish the race! They have made it past the 7 year itch goal and
hopefully
will continue to run the race to attain ultimate victory! These are
the winners, our heroes, of whom we can all be proud!
