In 1998, five regional chapters of the SSDCA were formed to provide
camaraderie and support for members and fanciers in their local area. Their mission is to
promote the breed through various activities and specialty shows.

supporting the SSDCA and your local Chapters, you are helping
us to grow in strength, thus making it easier for us to protect the
future welfare of this magnificent breed. If you own a Shiloh

Advantages of Local Chapters
Make new friends as people work together to benefit the
breed! Become active and help educate others as this breed
approaches new challenges!
You can acquire breed information - Hands-On! Because You get to
visit with a large variety of Shiloh Shepherds™ and their owners in
person!
You can participate in activities with other Shiloh owners,
by attending
Picnics, Fun
Days, Breed Expos, Conformation Shows, Obedience
Trials, Agility Events, etc. and you can enjoy the companionship
of others with the same goals for this breed (still under
development) while letting your voice be clearly heard at
your local (SSDCA, Inc. approved) Chapter Meetings!
Your local chapter will provide you with many other opportunities,
such as seminars specifically designed to help you gain a
better understanding regarding many of the topics that we deal
with on a regular basis, like:
Ownership and Training issues
Livestock Guardian Dog issues
Health
& Genetic issues
Breed Rescue issues
Anti-Dog Legislation
