Reflections
on HOMECOMING
WEEK...

The week started out just as planned. On Tuesday morning I arrived at the park to
meet the tent crew and open up the building. Rich (from CT.) also
arrived early and pitched right in! It gave me a chance to run a few
last minute errands. By the time I returned, several people had already
arrived and were out walking their dogs. This was the hard part,
everybody knew me ..but, I had to guess who they were! One look at
Dylan's (younger) double attached to a blonde lady, and it was easy,
this must be Pam Dymond-Weed! Since I knew that she traveled with her
friend Olga & Libby (a smooth coated dual female) that was very
easy! Gee, I just hope I will have as many great clues with all of the
other new visitors! We all spent the afternoon talking & decorating
the building. Lisa set up two tables full of trophies, our Seattle
visitors helped set up the ribbon table; everyone was busy getting
things ready! Maybe it was the helium, or just the late hour, but look
what they did to poor Artus! These girls were stringing banners,
balloons, and decorations everywhere, even on the poor dogs! LOL
Wednesday morning as I arrived at the park, I noticed more cars &
people! Our lodge looked great! Red/white/blue streamers & balloons
were everywhere! People were eating donuts and talking about their dogs..
I tried to get some pictures to share with our OneList members that were
unable to make it this year, while Lisa started the CGCs. Now I am
looking forward to tonights picnic, and seeing all of the new
visitors and old friends that will be arriving this afternoon!
